Get to me
"I was diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia at 13 years old. Most dyslexics are diagnosed around age 7, but my difference went unnoticed by my teachers. I first suspected I was dyslexic when I was struggling in school, and all my classmates were breezing through. I went to a doctor and got tested for a variety of learning differences and came out positive for dyslexia. After my diagnosis, I went to a learning center to retrain how my brain processes characters. I was the oldest person in the program because of my late diagnosis. This made me feel out of place and behind. I wish that when I was in that position, I had someone around my age to talk to about my dyslexia. That's why I created this website. I hope these blogs can serve as a guide for teens navigating their journey with dyslexia"
